Rates and Review of Grand Royal Spa – Silay City Branch

Yesterday, I visited the Grand Royal Spa at their Silay City, Negros Occidental branch. I have heard of it before and I thought I have to try it sooner or later. If only there is a Spa Riviera here in Negros Occidental branch, I would not be tempted to try other Spa centers.

Grand Royal Spa Review

Anyway, the Grand Royal Spa in Silay City has a relaxing place even at the reception; I think all Spa centers are.  Before we enter the reception, the door was locked (and I wonder why because the sign says its “Open”, after a few seconds, the receptionist opened the door but I can see no sign in her facial expression that she’s in a “hurry” to open the door for the customers (I am with my sister) and that she’s apologetic that the door is locked. In fairness to her, she smiled and greeted us “Good evening…” when she opened the door.

We were directed to the front desk and she offered us the services that are available. My sister and I had a hard time choosing what service’s to avail because, honestly, we really want to try them all if only we have the “budget”. While we are dilly dallying for the service/s to avail, the receptionist never took an effort to “entice” us to try this or that service. But whenever we asked her of the packages that are not posted on their list, she eagerly entertained us.

At last, I decided to try their Thermal Massage and Foot Massage, which is regularly priced at P350 and P150, respectively, but because it as a package, instead of P500 in total, I only paid P420.00. As for my sister, she availed the Thai Massage (P200) and Facial Cleansing (P230) for only P344, instead of P430.

After that, she instructed us to wait the couch while they prepare for the “paraphernalia” that will be used. I then asked her if I can take pictures and she politely gave me the permission. After some picture takings, we were guided to a room for couples and instructed to change clothes – boxer shorts for me (panty and boxer shorts only) and shirt and boxer shorts for my sister. Inside the room, there are two lockers, with keys, 2 pairs of slippers, 2 beds, a wall clock and dimmed lights. I only have one problem with the room, the door has no lock! Also, we can hear other customers who are in the adjacent rooms and guess what? They are male customers! Maybe it’s fine, but I’m maybe used to Spa Riviera’s set up that there is a different major room for male customers and another one for the female clients.

Another thing is that, although the staffs are polite and handled us “gently”, I guess it’s rude to talk or chat with another staff while giving a massage or any other service to their customers at the same time. I suggest that they should concentrate in what they’re doing and allow their customers to relax and don’t disturb the clients with their chitchat, though they’re whispering, still, we can hear what they’re talking about.

As for the body massage, I enjoyed it and really felt relaxed especially with the Thermal Press/Massage. It truly relieved muscle pain. Though not as good as what I have experienced with Spa Riviera, it’s still great! My sister also loved her Thai Massage that she availed, as well as, the facial cleansing.

Anyway, after the massage, we were offered either a cup of coffee, a cup of tea or a glass of water, and we both requested for a cup of coffee, and then we were requested to change and proceed to the foot lounge for the next service that we will avail.  Before we went to the foot lounge, we went to the comfort room; I just noticed that the door in the CR is hard to lock, other than that, the Comfort Room is clean and well-maintained. We then proceeded to the foot lounge where I was given a foot massage while my sister had her facial cleansing. After the service, we were offered coffee, tea or water, which were served at the reception.

Overall, the services they offered are great and affordable, though it’s located in a compound together with AP Cargo, while Du Ek Sam (DES) Marketing was at the front. You have to enter the compound, follow the big arrow sign leading to the back of DES, where you can find the Grand Royal Spa sign then take the stairs going to the second floor where the reception and the Spa rooms are located. I also would like to mention that unlike the staffs at Spa Riviera, who gives a tip envelop to their customers after a service, those at the Grand Royal Spa, don’t, which I like. ^_^

Other services offered are:

Stone Massage —— P 400

Foot Scrub ———— P 220

Bentosa Cupping —- P 380

mam, you’re welcome po…suggest ko lang po sana kung di po pwedeng may locks, sana separate po yung male from female area, adjacent alng kc yung room, so prang awkward po na naririnig po yung mga usapan from the other room, to think na lalaki pa po yung nasa kabila…suggestion lang po ^_^
