Sinulog Festival is Really in The Air

Here in Kabankalan, where I stay to work, they have this Sinulog Festival, which resembles the Dinagyang Festival in my hometown, Iloilo City. But what makes this festival here in Kabankalan is that during the highlight, which will be on this coming Sunday already, January 18, 2009, is that when the people, local or tourist, walk around their plaza during the merry making, there are others are carrying their black paints, charcoal and worst, henna, to mark the by passers or the merrymakers.

I don’t know how to describe it exactly, so I’ll just post some pictures here, probably, Sunday evening or Monday, to better describe the whole festival. Hopefully, it will be a peaceful religious festivity, just like the previous years, as this wills me sister’s first time to experience the said event.

I’ll update you soon, so please stand by…
