No Plastic Containers in the Freezer & Oven!

No water bottles in the freezer!

No plastic containers inside the microwave ovens!

Plastic containers contain dioxins, a chemical that is highly poisonous to our body. So please, don’t freeze your plastic bottles with water in them and don’t place your food in a plastic container and heat it in the oven, as these release dioxins from the plastic and will eventually mix with the water or the food.

This is true especially for foods that contain fats. The combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Experts recommend using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food… You get the same results, only without the dioxin. Noodles, soups, etc., should be removed from the plastic containers and be heated in something else.

I hope that this can give you a new perspective now especially to those moms, who prepare food for their family.

  • Nice post, awareness puts things in order. If you would like to use freezer safe containers, shop online at http://www.freezer-containers.com.

  • don’t mcrowave, period. The radiation alters the chemical composition of the food, you end up eating something different, and it does taste different.
