A Quick Guide To Download Videos from Youtube

Someone asked me how did I post a youtube video on my other

blog yesterday. So I decided to post a quick but easy tutorial about it. But please do note that I don’t claim to be “techie” here. What I will post here is from an “ordinary blogger’s way” of downloading or extracting audio from youtube videos. Actually I only know 2 options to do it.

First, you can copy the embed code of the youtube video as shown on the thumbshot, then paste on your post, be sure that you clicked the Edit HTML button before you paste the embed code. (Refer to the thumbshot below)

And that’s it!

But if you’re having problem with this option, you may want to try the second option below.

1. Go to

http://www.catchvideo.net

2. Once you have found a clip or a video from Youtube, use your mouse to highlight the YouTube web address for the video clip then Press Ctrl + C to copy the video web address.

3. Activate the CatchVideo.net browser window ensuring that you are on the Home page and click in the box marked URL. Then press Ctrl + V to paste the YouTube web address (URL) into the box and select the video format then Click ‘Convert and download’ .

The CatchVideo.net software will prepare and process the video ready for downloading to your computer and you will see this on your screen. Wait for the processing to finish.

4. When the file has successfully been converted click the ‘Download’ button to start the download and save process.

5. Click ‘Save’ to copy the converted video to your computer. At this stage you can rename the

file to be saved and / or change the folder the file will be saved in.

6. When the new video clip is downloaded you will see the download complete window. The video is now automatically stored on your computer and can be viewed or copied to any device of your choice.

7. When you like the video to be posted on your blog, just click the Add Video button, browse to where you saved your downloaded video, type a title and click Upload.

I hope this post will be able to help you. Please share something if you know of a much better way to do this, or you might want to tell me if this tutorial is effective or not.
